Ulster University is a popular academic institution spread across several campuses in Northern Ireland, at Belfast, Coleraine, Jordanstown and Magee, Derry. Each site has its own individual charm. Facilities at University of Ulster

Academic Facilities

High levels of investment have been made into academic facilities at all of the university's campuses. Students have full access to large on-site libraries. Wi-fi is provided on all campuses.

Other on-site Amenities

Each campus provides a different range of amenities, including ATMs, bars and cafes. Sporty students are well-served by gyms and sports centres at several of the sites.

Medical and Social Care

Both the Jordanstown and Coleraine campuses feature on-site health centres. Nurses hold regular clinics at the other campuses, and religious provision is offered by the university's resident chaplaincy.

What's on in the Area

Students are spoilt for choice when it comes to evening entertainment. Belfast is home to an eclectic variety of live music venues and traditional Irish bars; nearby Portstewart is also popular with students. Those with an interest in history will enjoy the Titanic visitor centre and twelfth-century castle in Carrickfergus.

Moving On

The staff at the University Career Development Centre are on hand to provide guidance and source employment opportunities. Students are also given regular opportunities to meet local businesses at job fairs.

University alumni include the comedian and actor Omid Djalili, publisher and producer Gerry Anderson MBE and Labour politician Kate Hoey. In 2001, the university launched 'Campus One', a virtual environment for distance learners offering the UK's first course in Hydrogen Safety Engineering.

Is Ulster University the place for you?

Ulster offers affordable student living at a well-respected university. If biomedical science is your subject, few universities in the UK rival the department's excellent teaching and facilities. Applicants should also consider the Universities of Dublin and Limerick for comparison.
